What the program funds

The infrastructure stream aims to improve Rugby facilities in NSW, boost usage, ensure equitable access for under-represented groups, and enhance the experience for all participants and spectators. Please ensure that you read the Program Guidelines carefully. The Office of Sport information session for the NSW Rugby Legacy Program provides an explanation of the program guidelines and how to apply. Click HERE to watch. Rugby NSW has also held a grant webinar for all clubs, associations and zones on Monday 20 July. Click HERE to watch.

How to apply

Applications for NSW Rugby World Cup Legacy Program 2026/27 - Category 1 are made through Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport, not through GrantWindow. We do not take applications, charge a fee or act as an intermediary, and any site that offers to apply on your behalf for a government grant is worth a very careful look.

Apply for NSW Rugby World Cup Legacy Program 2026/27 - Category 1 on the official site

Applications close in August 2026. Government grant portals are busiest on the final day and several of them close on the stroke of the deadline, so the practical advice is to submit a day early.

This round is closed. Many Australian grant programs run again, and a closed program is the reason the alert list exists: we watch this page nightly and tell the list the day it reopens.
