What the program funds

The Cancer Institute NSW Research Equipment Grant (REG) ensures that the state has world class infrastructure to accelerate cancer research and realise clinical benefits. The Research Equipment Grant scheme will support research infrastructure where there is a clearly demonstrated need and where the equipment will substantially improve research productivity. Funding is available for research platforms, core equipment and capacities to enhance the cancer research effort in NSW.

Applications for Research Equipment Grant are made through Cancer Institute NSW, not through GrantWindow. We do not take applications, charge a fee or act as an intermediary, and any site that offers to apply on your behalf for a government grant is worth a very careful look.

Applications close in April 2026. Government grant portals are busiest on the final day and several of them close on the stroke of the deadline, so the practical advice is to submit a day early.
