What the program funds

The Department of Education and Training is committed to skilling Territorians through engagement with Vocational Education and Training (VET), a nationally recognised qualification, skillset or units of competency in an aim to increase employment and economic outcomes. The Skills NT grant is designed to be targeted and responsive for the delivery of VET and/or support for the delivery of VET in one or more of the defined focus areas: Supporting equity groups: helping to remove barriers by accessing skilled training for disadvantage groups.

How to apply

Applications for Skills NT Grant are made through Department of Education and Training, not through GrantWindow. We do not take applications, charge a fee or act as an intermediary, and any site that offers to apply on your behalf for a government grant is worth a very careful look.

Apply for Skills NT Grant on the official site

Applications close in December 2028. Government grant portals are busiest on the final day and several of them close on the stroke of the deadline, so the practical advice is to submit a day early.
