What the program funds

Funding to develop and deliver air quality training for local councils in NSW and across Australia that aims to improve councils’ capacity to manage air quality issues. The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water's Air Policy team funded the Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand (CASANZ) a one-off/ad-hoc grant of $50,000. This grant will ensure that council officers have appropriate training on how to manage air quality including through their regulatory, planning and community education functions.
