What the program funds
Funding to employ an additional 1,300 apprentices, trainees and cadets in the local government sector across the state. This is in line with the NSW Government’s goal for 15 per cent of local government workforces being apprentices and trainees. NSW Governments objectives of the grant are to increase the local government workforce through the employment of apprentices, trainees and cadets (recruits) over 6 years commencing January 2025.
