What the program funds
As part of the implementation of eID of sheep and goats in New South Wales and to support the purchase of eID equipment, the NSW Government is implementing the Sheep and Goat eID Equipment Rebate Program for Producers and Livestock Agents. The purpose of the Program is to provide further funding for the purchase of handheld eID equipment as part of the implementation of mandatory individual eID for sheep and goats within NSW. The intended recipients of rebates under the program are sheep and goat producers and licenced stock and station agents in NSW.

How to apply
Applications for NSW Sheep and Goat eID Equipment Rebate Program for Producers and Livestock Agents are made through Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, not through GrantWindow. We do not take applications, charge a fee or act as an intermediary, and any site that offers to apply on your behalf for a government grant is worth a very careful look.
Applications close in August 2026. Government grant portals are busiest on the final day and several of them close on the stroke of the deadline, so the practical advice is to submit a day early.
