Chronic kidney disease disproportionately impacts First Nations people across Australia, often with devastating effect. Access to dialysis in rural and remote areas is limited and often involves travelling hundreds of kilometres. This results in First Nations people in remote areas requiring dialysis relocating from their homes, communities and Country to access services in metropolitan or regional locations, adversely impacting their health and well-being.
